What is Astrology?

Today the general public is rapidly awakening to the New Age phenomena.  The very fact that we have now moved into the New Millennium goes hand in hand with the Age of Aquarius, which means new beginnings and enlightenment.

What is Astrology?

Astrology is a Greek word.

It means: astro-star; logos-word.

In plain English: the science of the stars.

Readers constantly ask me how can so many people born under the same zodiac sign be so different to one another?   My answer to this question is:

A Star chart is an individual map of who you are based on using the date time and place of birth and the odds of anyone else having the same Star Chart as you are astronomically small!

First of all you may only have one planet in your birth sign, your Sun – and the other nine planets may be distributed in different areas of your Star Chart.

For example, your mentality will depend on the position of the Moon at the moment of your birth, while your love nature is ruled by the position of Venus, and the manner in which your energies function depends upon the position of Mars.   The planet governing your future is Saturn, and your ability to respond to change is ruled by Uranus  Neptune governs your envisioned goals, while Jupiter controls your opinions and judgements.   Mercury is the planet of practical reasoning, while Pluto, the latest planet to be discovered, rules the world of politics and ideologies.   Another important influence on a persons Star chart is the rising sign, or ascendant, which is the zodiacal sign that passes over the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth.   It is this sign that will modify the basic physical appearance and approach to life as determined by your Sun sign.
