Always Maintain A Joyful Mind

Hello Readers,

It is how we face all the things that seem to be negative in our lives that determines the kind of person we become. The most important spiritual growth happens whilst we are in the midst of experiencing tough challenges, difficulties and adversities that are randomly strewn across our pathway during our soul journey. All of them collectively help us to become more magnanimous and willing to listen to the other side. It is only after great suffering that we are able to develop empathy and compassion.

If we take the time to look closely enough, we often discover that our enemies are also human beings who struggle with the same fears and expectations as us. They are fighting with us because they have been fighting with themselves all their lives and have yet to learn who they are and about their true purpose. A few will, but most will not because climbing that particular mountain is too high for them to even consider bothering with.

If we don’t train ourselves to go with the flow of life and keep fighting and kicking against what we are unable to control or change, finding everything frustrating and thoroughly inconvenient, we are going to emerge squeezed, tight, unbending, angry and argumentative. And remember, one of the greatest causes of ill health is by not dealing with stress and allowing it to gnaw deep into our inner being.

If you are going to become good at anything, you will not achieve your goals by not applying yourself and wasting time. You have to be prepared to work hard, develop discipline and be very determined in your quest for success. There are no free lunches in the Universe and anything worth having must be earned and countless sacrifices must be made because there are no shortcuts.

Too much self centred thinking is the main cause of suffering.

And what ever your current position or the complexities of your circumstances, realise that you are not alone. Take a few moments to look at all the others because many of them will be in far greater pain than you. A compassionate concern for others wellbeing is the source of great happiness, but equally, if we don’t take care of ourselves, we won’t survive either.

To thine own self be true.

Until Next Time,

Love and Light,

Linda and The Lulas xxx
