To Find Yourself, You Must Think For Yourself

Hello Readers,

Independence is about loyalty to oneself whilst at the same time endeavouring to remain true to your conscience, always. The most courageous act is to think for yourself, refusing to be influenced or be led astray by the wrong types, the ones who could so easily damage your reputation.

Being independent and self sufficient is sometimes avoided by certain people, often because they lack the confidence and the self worth to take personal responsibility for making their own decisions and choices. Enjoying independent and savouring your freedom can be one of the best feelings in the world.

Your worries, goals, wins and losses are completely your responsibility, and by ensuring there are no distractions to hinder your progress, you stand a far better chance of achieving your ambitions than if you waste time forever seeking the approval of others. Taking control of your life allows you to appreciate all the wonderful things that life has to offer, realising how satisfying it feels to not be attached or beholden to those with whom you don’t share any common interests.

People cannot always be relied upon, which is why it’s important that you learn to handle stuff for yourself. There should never be a point in life where you are so dependent on someone that you lose sight of who you are by surrendering your identity just so that you don’t feel alone, because that’s a very heavy price to pay and nearly always ends in tears. Learn to carry yourself on your own back because some people will drop you far quicker than they picked you up.

Never let the noise of others opinions drown out your inner voice. Never depend too much on anyone in this world because even your own shadow leaves you when the sun sets and you find yourself walking in the darkness. Let others spoil you with loyalty, you can finance yourself. If you think you need a hero, become one yourself. Sometimes solitary confinement and time spent alone is the only way to discover and come to terms with who you are. The more you get to know yourself the more you will learn to respect who you are and represent. When you are finally at peace and in touch with your inner voice and thoughts, only then will you be free of all that threatens to whither your heart and condemn it to a lost eternity.

The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility, the wings of independence and to stand on their own two feet.

Love and light,

Linda and The Lulas xxx
