Hello Readers,
You never know how much time you have left. Sunsets remind us that beauty only lasts for a few moments and sunrises to tell us that a new day allows us to experience all over again. Distance will tell you the real meaning of closeness. It will either bring you back together or keep you apart. Every chapter in your life is necessary for your growth because it is all your experiences, collectively, that have brought you to this point in your life today.
Jumping recklessly into new relationships won’t heal you and being single won’t kill you. Time alone will help you to grow. Notice the people who make an effort to stay in your life and the ones who beat a hasty retreat every time there is trouble. They start missing you when they can no longer replace you, don’t fall into the trap of going back because nothing will have changed. Everything you lost will come back but in a slightly different version because nothing stands still nor remains the same. Learn to sit back and observe because not everything needs a reaction. The less you care the happier you will be.
Life is so much simpler when you stop explaining yourself to people and apologising for your existence. Some people will never support you because they are afraid that you will become greater, richer, more successful and powerful than them. than them. Never let emotions overpower your intelligence. Your head must always rule your head, not the other way around.
You are the painter of your own mood and your days are only as grey as you allow them to be. Damaged people are strong because they have learned how to survive. You don’t deserve someone who keeps coming back, you need someone who never deserts you or makes promises and later breaks them. When you learn to survive without someone, you can overcome and survive anything.
Be a good person but don’t waste time on the undeserving. Be strong, because you never know who you are inspiring. Every bad situation will teach you a valuable lesson. Even a dead clock will show the same time twice a day.
Be you, the world will eventually adjust. The door to happiness opens from the inside.

over rocks and stones
to someplace far away

his way past enemies
lurking in dark corners
behind closed doors
cloaked in fog
dangers restless yet primed
to lunge at any moment
but here
by the river’s edge
i am safe i am in the arms
of a place i know
a place i love
a place i call home’.
