Whatever you chase will elude you by running away further and faster, so stop chasing success and realise you already have it all, if you could all but see it. Never hunt love, affection nor attention. If it isn’t given freely, it isn’t worth having. Never pursue a lie, instead let it alone because it will eventually fizzle out and disappear to nothingness, just like most things.
Love yourself as much as you can love anybody or anything else. Never skimp or economise on self-care, instead , ensure that you look after yourself in the best way possible. You deserve your own love and affection because if you don’t prioritise yourself, no one else will. They are too busy chasing rainbows and mirages. Your good health and happiness is of the greatest importance because it demonstrates to others how much you value, respect and appreciate yourself. A person who undervalues themselves and succumbs to negligence and sloppy decisions will have little care for you. Accept yourself in your entirety by taking pride in your home, wellness, appearance, attitude and never be pressured into accepting second best in anything.
If you want to fly, be prepared to surrender all that which weighs you down and what proves burdensome and irrelevant. Dismissing and letting go of everything you have outgrown allows you to move forwards more freely. Use words of encouragement, believe in your abilities and attributes, but never again doubt yourself, especially in the eyes of others. Once you become aware of what matters, and for which you are truly grateful, you will begin to lose interest and sight of everything what is lacking and surplus to requirement. You are not an option, so never try to teach or beg for acceptance. You are not responsible for the actions and behaviour of others, so, if necessary, detach and disengage. You cannot change other people, only yourself. The more you love yourself the less nonsense you will tolerate from the ridiculous and pathetic.
To love who you are, cease resenting the people and experiences that helped to shape you. It is your past and all which has already passed that have brought you to this moment in time. For what it’s worth, it’s never too late to start over again and be whoever you want to be. Life’s trials will test, shape and challenge you, but never let anything nor anyone drag you down into the abyss nor succeed in nearly destroying you. Even during the loneliest moments, you will always be there for yourself. Live a life to be proud of and never follow the crowd because they are already more lost than you are. Refrain from constantly running away because there is no hiding place. The past is just a distant memory.
Never pursue a heart that you are not ready to be loyal to.
‘Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill.
Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt.
Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people’s approval and you will be their prisoner.
Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity.’
