It is unhealthy to attempt to fit into someone else’s shoes, trying to emanate their lifestyle, or to fade away into the background alone and friendless. You have a unique voice, your own perspective and inner light shines far brighter than you perhaps realise. There will always be plenty of room for people who are brave enough to show up exactly as they are without fear of rejection or failure. We all each bring our own irreplaceable, gifts to the world in some form or another, and they don’t always have to cost money.
There may have been times when you really wanted to go in a certain direction, but your intuition warned you against such folly, yet you succumbed to temptation, to your detriment. You may have noticed that every time you disregarded your inner voice, especially when challenged, you later learned that you should have heeded its wisdom. Once you have more faith in yourself and your judgment, you will start to make better decisions. Moving in any new direction means facing the unknown, and that takes guts and courage. No matter which path you walk, it will encompass the ups and downs of life in more ways than you care to imagine, so how you respond is important.
Time, age and experience has a way of teaching us what really matters, and where our loyalties and responsibilities lie. Times of great uncertainty and feelings of wretchedness have all contributed to making us stronger, more resilient and resourceful. Holding onto hope and trusting that everything will work itself out in the way destiny has decreed will get us through some of the darkest and most difficult days.
With inner awareness, we begin to see life through new eyes. Your surroundings may appear familiar, but it is you who has changed the most. You may still have some of the things you have always had, but now you are realising that you are enough and that there is nothing worth clinging onto nor anything to prove. Frustrating situations will still arise, but you will deal with them differently and with greater clarity and understanding. It’s time to reclaim your power.
Never be the reason someone declines a meal, dreads sleeping or waking up. Never allow anyone to feel excluded or worthless because words and actions stay with us forever. Today, do your best to nurture thoughts, words and feelings that align with your peace. Happiness grows where you plant it because whatever you are wishing for the universe conspires to manifest. This is how the law of attraction works.
