MANIPULATIVE PEOPLE

Hello Readers,

They say it takes all sorts to make a world and its always very interesting to discover and become aware of what lengths some people will go to put pressure on others into doing their bidding. And in this day and age of tremendous uncertainty and instability, it’s very important that you do not allow yourself to get sucked in to the ‘get rich quick’ schemes by allowing yourself to be tantalised by the golden carrots of opportunity that they cleverly dangle before your eyes. Some people are extremely good at twisting stories so that the finger of blame is always pointed at you because they will accuse you of not listening properly to what they were trying to explain to you and that you somehow managed to misinterpret what they were saying.

These people arrive in all kinds of guises, which is why I never judge a book by its cover because people are rarely what they seem. Never make the mistake of giving away all your power by apologising for something that is not your fault, just to keep the peace. Stand your ground and refuse to be browbeaten to submission because these people are always at the top of their agenda, not you. No one else matters and nothing else is important. The conversation will always revert back to them because they are only interested in what is in it for them and when you are no longer of any use to them, they will beat a hasty retreat to find their next victim.

I always make a point of creating a very healthy distance between myself and this sort of individual because they are not to be believed nor trusted. If need be, they will even compromise a friendship if there is the slightest indication that they will benefit personally or financially for themselves, not giving a care in the world about what may happen to you as a result.
So if you ever find yourself in a difficult situation where you feel uncomfortable because your gut feelings are screaming out loudly to cut and run, do just that, run!! Time is a wonderful thing and in the fullness of time you will see what you will see, hear what you will hear and be glad that you remained strong, steadfast, true to yourself and richer for the experience.
