Nothing belongs to us. Even the air we inhale must be exhaled. We are born with nothing and depart this life with nothing. There are parts of your world that moves so quickly that you can hardly keep up the momentum, and other parts where you have reached a full stop. Emotions can be difficult to control especially where the heart is involved, and even more so if you have been let down by past relationships and friendships. The simple fact is that we are no longer the same person we were back in the old days, so it’s important to learn from past experiences rather than forever drag them around like an albatross hanging around our neck. Life isn’t easy at the best of times which is why we must be willing to fight for our rights and what is ours. It all comes down to patience, perseverance and realising that not everyone knows how to communicate on a soul level, or in some cases, any level at all.
There you are processing problems like a receptionist dealing with situations one at a time. Some people just act as though they are trying to help you when really, they are busy feathering their own nest. There is simply nothing else you can do except start looking after yourself better. If you try to discuss something that bothers you with someone, and they not only fail to try to understand, but also change the subject to make everything about themselves, why do you even bother? They are obviously not interested in assisting you in finding a workable solution, or anything that requires time and effort on their part, which is an excellent reason for you to walk away in the opposite direction. If they are unwilling to even try to comprehend your circumstances, don’t waste any more of your time and money on entertaining them. Avoid getting into any deep conversations that might allow anyone to feel all powerful, because they are just not worth it. At times it really does help to avoid certain topics or associating with certain company which is why so many disillusioned people choose their pets and own private space for companionship because it’s less hassle and far more interesting and rewarding.
A little time and space allows the mind to think and focus more clearly, whereas the heart and soul requires the same, but in abundance. Broken hearts can still love and those with broken wings are still loveable. We all want to believe that things will get better, but normally they don’t. It is us that get better because we are prepared to grow, learn and change. Some things stop hurting as much resulting in fewer tears left to weep. Honesty teaches you that it won’t ruin a thing whilst setting boundaries won’t scare genuine people away. The next time you feel aggrieved because someone pulled away from you for respecting yourself, hold them accountable for all the emotional damage they have caused, especially to themselves and their reputation. May you never again consciously connect with someone who is wrong for you. Bide your time, watch and wait because they will miss you when they can’t replace you. You are a walking love letter, but as yet, you just don’t know it. When the time is right everything will fall into place.
Maybe you went through all the darkness and survived so that you can help others along their tedious and difficult journey. Befriend your intuition because it will serve you well in life. After your funeral, get one of your friends to text everyone to thank them for coming. Always do the unexpected and celebrate the uniqueness of being individual.
We are all complete opposites, but we make perfect sense.
