HELLO READERS
To get over the past, you must first accept that the past is over. No matter how many times you try to revisit it, analyse and regret your actions, it is yesterday’s news and tomorrow’s chip paper. Better still, no one else is remotely interested because they are too busy regretting their own mistakes.
During the course of our life, we all wish we could have done things differently and undo certain scenarios by turning the clock back, but it’s just not possible because what is done is done and cannot be undone. Some of those regrets can fester over time if left unaddressed and become part of our altered mindset along with everything else because one slight occurrence can affect almost everything and everyone that is connected with it.
Some people will use the memories of other people to remain in the past. They are afraid to let go, so they choose to exist in a kind of twilight zone, neither
here nor there, but definitely not in the present moment. They are haunted and tormented by what has previously happened, and even though they know they must let things be, they simply can’t, and so they have no peace and unable to accept what is. They once had something beautiful that made saying goodbye so hard, and so they live alone with their thoughts, often excluding all others.
People spend a lot of time, energy and money searching for a sense of purpose, putting a meaning to their life and trying to achieve something that they can be proud of, but even when they think they have found it they still find feel lost, confused, and disappointed because it still isn’t enough, but there again, nothing ever does satisfy their thirst for the unattainable.
How you view yourself will strongly influence and determine the choices you make. Every successful person, leader and champion accomplishes something greater within themselves when they know their worth is making a positive difference to the world. Their intention is not to waste a precious moment because they know that time cannot be recovered once expended carelessly. It’s the longing for impossible things, nostalgia for what only exists in their hearts and the desire for what could have been, or might not have been, if only, and repentant over not maximising every available opportunity. But now it’s all too late, and so they do nothing but reminisce.
One day all your treasures will be forgotten or will pass onto someone else. Your wealth, fame, power and good looks will fade into oblivion. It will not bear any importance as what you owned, who you were or how much you were owed. Some debts die with us, never to be repaid. Your grudges, insecurities, resentments, frustrations and feelings of principles will finally disappear out of people’s minds because life goes on long after you have gone. A life of regret is no life at all. It’s what we do today that counts for the most.
Let the dawning of each new day be a reminder that you are still alive and that there is a chance to make some overdue changes. There are those who pretend that they have it all, and others who acknowledge that having it all is still not enough. A meaningful life includes a strong sense of connection to a higher and holier spiritual force whilst humbly living a life of service and humility.
Intimate and private moments with deep spiritual connections, attachments and lasting friendships are not usually found in a raucous crowd. Always choose your friends wisely because the company you keep reflects your character. There is a vast difference between friends and acquaintances.
Every step brings you closer to either greatness, or disaster. Unfold your today beyond your yesterday, or else, there’ll be no tomorrow, only despair and decay.
‘And then the day came,
when the risk
to remain tight
in a bud
was more painful
than the risk
it took
to blossom.’
LOVE AND LIGHT,
LINDA AND THE LULAS XXX
