Hello Readers,
Anyone can give up, sit in a corner and feel sorry for themselves, doing nothing and getting nowhere fast. They are riddled with self-doubt, self-pity and feel self-conscious, but nothing is ever achieved remaining ensconced, comfortable, in a comfort zone. In fact, it’s the worst place in the world to be because nothing is achieved, accomplished or gained and slowly other people who have tried to encourage and help become fed up and walk away because they feel as though they are wasting their breath.
During the course of our lives we are often tested and forced to deal with stuff that is designed to hoof us out of our comfort zone and this experience can often be daunting and scary, but if we never try to have a go at doing something new or different, we never discover who we really are or what we are capable of achieving.
Here are the top ten excuses that people tell themselves, all designed to keep them in their safe little bubble and offer no hope of a better, happier or more fulfilled future. Do any of them describe you and if so, what are you prepared to do about making a few positive changes?
1. Work isn’t meant to be enjoyed.
2. I’m not one of those people who can ever find a job doing what I love.
3. It’s too late to make the change now.
4. I can’t find anything to be passionate about.
5. I should be grateful just to have a job.
6. I’m too afraid to do anything.
7. I won’t be able to provide for my family.
8. Other people wouldn’t approve.
9. I’ve worked too hard to get where I am in my current industry, it would be a waste to change.
10. I don’t have the inner drive or entrepreneurial spirit to follow my dreams.
