Hello Readers,
Are your actions leading you to success or failure? One thing I have noticed about so many successful people I have met, that stands out the most from those who are not successful is that that they are more willing to go the extra mile in order to achieve than those who have settled for second best.
Successful people go to work with the intention of getting something accomplished. They work on making their dreams a reality and not just look at their work load as yet another 8 hour grind they want to get over and done with. They have, drive, desire and ambition as well as a bit of greediness thrown in for good measure to achieve their goals. They all have a powerful imagination which enables them to visualise how they see themselves and their ambitions developing once they put the effort into creating affluence and wealth. They don’t waste time and energy making excuses as to why they can’t to do this, that or the other, they take personal responsibility for making life happen to them. Successful people are always focused on success and triumphing against all the odds that are stacked against them.
A good idea is to write things down each morning so that you make the things you want and still have not accomplished, a reality. There is an old saying, ‘no risk, no reward’. Successful people aim high because they know that if they don’t put themselves in a position of a possible failure, they will never create the ability to win. At some point in life you have to ‘go for it’ or you will live the rest of your life regretting not doing so. Unsuccessful people tend to play it safe. They are often reluctant to offer ideas or speak up because they operate from a place of fear. They are afraid to fail because they are overly concerned with the opinions of others, so they do as little as possible and try to remain in the background. Never be afraid of failure because behind every mistake is an opportunity to learn important lessons.
People of accomplishment rarely sit back and wait for things to happen to them. When they go out into the world, it is they that happen to things and to other people. They have the power to change other people’s lives as well as their own because most importantly, they believe in themselves and in what they are doing.
There are no secrets to success, no magic formula, other than lots of preparation, hard work and learning from failure. It’s important that you make the effort to move out of your comfort zone because you can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when trying something new. The only way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing because there is no time like the present.
If you really want to do something, you will find a way, if you don’t, you will always find an excuse. Yes, it’s hard to fail, but it’s worse never to have tried to succeed.
Success is getting what you want and happiness is wanting what you get.
