Time, Distance And Friendship

Hello Readers,

 

It’s been said that everlasting friends go long periods of time without speaking and never question the friendship.  Such friendships pick up like they just spoke yesterday regardless of how long it has been or how far away they live. They don’t hold grudges or imagine the worst possible scenario as to why they have not kept in regular contact.  They understand that life is busy, but that the love is always there.  We often lose touch with certain people because of difficult circumstances, family feuds, misunderstandings, people moving away and even some admitting that they are not very good at keeping in touch, the list of reasons and excuses are endless.  There are old friends and genuine people who have sincere reasons for getting back in touch with us after long absences.  Life is always so full of the unexpected, the ups and downs, twists and turns that can fling us all in opposite directions, which explains why long periods of time pass by before either one of us manages to make contact again. 

 

Friends are that blessing which stays with us always.  The thread of friendship is a golden bold that lasts longer than one can possibly imagine.  Sometimes a friend leaves us to live somewhere far away and it’s so easy to think that that friendship will fade and that you will be left alone again.  But if a friendship is true, then this is not so because friends give you that security that everything is possible in spite of long distances.  Distance does not make or break a true friendship, it is the closeness that matters, not the distance.  Sometimes people who live thousands of miles away from you can make you feel better than the people who are right beside you. 

 

I believe in the immeasurable power of love because true love can endure any circumstance and reach across any distance.  We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere.  Experience has taught me that a friendship continues to grow, even over a long distance.  There is no long distance about love.  It always finds a way to bring hearts together no matter how many miles there are between them.

 

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have and one of the best things you can be. 

 

‘Though miles may lie between us, we are never far apart, for friendship doesn’t count the miles, it’s measured by the heart.
