A Promise Made is a Debt Unpaid and Nothing is Forgotten

All sorts of people will walk in and walk out of your life, but the one whose footsteps makes a long lasting impression is the one you should never allow to walk out, never to return. Everything we get, outside of the free gifts of nature, must in some way be paid for one way or another. There are no free lunches.

The world is full of so called economists who in turn are full of schemes for getting something for nothing. They tell us that the government can spend and spend without taxing at all and that it can continue to pile up debt without ever paying it off, because we owe it to ourselves and we deserve a little treat now and again, but rarely do they consider the consequences of such a blasé approach, and this mode of thinking applies to so many people out there. Spend now, worry later.

The speed of your success is limited only by your dedication and what or how much you are willing to sacrifice. Debt is the match that lights the fire of every crisis and is a great source of worry and inner unhappiness causing illness, worry and sometimes crime. Debts and lies are usually mixed together and a person’s credit is as good as their money. A duty dodged is like a debt unpaid. It is only deferred temporarily, so sooner or later we must return to settle the account or risk blemishing our reputation adding extra fuel to all the gossips.

Borrowing money and spending is about borrowing from future joy to make the present happy and sensational if only for a few moments in time . Debt is like paying a price for your past. You had it to spend, so you did. Of course you pay the price for your past because that’s what bank loans and borrowing money is about. If you owe your bank a hundred pounds, you have a problem, but if you owe a million pounds, it’s theirs. Blessed are the young fir they shall inherit the National Debt.

Wealth and power aren’t the most important things in life. What is truly important is to have a clear conscience. Mother Nature is an expert in cost benefit analysis. Although she does her accounting a little differently, she always collects her debts in the long run, and there are some debts that can’t be paid with money. It’s called Karma.
