Introspection Has No End

HELLO READERS,

In order to understand anything, occasionally you must turn away from it. Sometimes you have to go away to return only to see situations and people with renewed clarity. Your visions will become clearer only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside can one dream, whereas those who look inwardly will spiritually awaken. Many people find it difficult to look deeper than they can get away with because they suffer from a fear of finding themselves alone, and so they don’t find themselves at all. They go through their whole lives feeling lost and directionless, forever wishing for things they can’t have and don’t belong to them. You can’t lie to your own soul. The only journey is within. The more powerful and original the mind is, the more it will incline towards the understanding and appreciation of solitude.

Confronting your insecurities and being honest and sincere about your thoughts and feelings will improve your relationship not only with others, but also with yourself. If you are not part of a solution, then you are not part of a problem either. If you want to be happy and at peace with yourself, stop comparing what you have with others. Comparisons prevent us from creating good connections with nature and erodes any inner peace we may have intermittently felt. Nothing is more satisfying than reaching a point of knowing who you are and your life purpose.

Your days of running after other people are over. Stand back and watch what they are doing, but you don’t have to join them. Lots of people change their partners, jobs and houses, running away, always blaming others, chasing greener grass and rainbows rather addressing their problems and facing reality. They try to give the impression that life is one big holiday, that is, until the darkness falls, and winter comes.

Life chapters constantly begin and end. The past perpetuates itself through lack of decision making and action and repeating the same old patterns. It’s the quality of your consciousness that shapes your future. Whilst scars are reminders of your past, the wounds themselves heal over time and the pain subsides leaving you with the wisdoms of your experiences. Introspection gives you access to understanding yourself, self-reflection lets you process what you learn, and insights are the answers you arrive at which you can act upon. Going deeper still,  self-awareness means understanding your personality and what you are made of. You also begin to establish your values, relationships and your beliefs. Self-awareness involves comprehending how you process your experiences.

Writing, painting, music and other solitary pursuits, whatever they may be, are a descent into the cold abyss of oneself. The greater the artist, the greater the doubt about their own abilities. It’s their humility that makes them great, not how much noise they make. The most introspective of souls are often those that have been hurt the most.

Silence is only frightening to those who dislike their own company.

Love and light,

Linda and the Lulas xxx
