Taking Control Of Your Life

Hello Readers,

Incredible change happens when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control of what you don’t.  The secret is to focus all of your energies not on fighting the old and constantly living in the past, but to work on becoming the architect of creating your own future.  One of the biggest reasons that so many people are miserable, depressed and highly stressed is because of their unhealthy attachment to things they have no control over.  It’s only natural to feel apprehensive and a bit nervous initially about doing something completely different, but if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone, you increase your chances of finding what you are really looking for in life in order to live a more happy and contented way of life. In order to achieve anything worth having, we have to be prepared to work hard and take risks, otherwise we will remain stuck in a rut with nowhere to go and there are a lot of people who choose to remain stagnant out of fear of the unknown.  They refer to it as ‘better the devil they know’. Sometimes, all we need is a nudge in the right direction to encourage us to make that new, fresh start and the chance to do things differently to how we dealt with them in the past.  To have learned from past mistakes and vow never to repeat them again is a great accomplishment in itself. There are always going to be people out there who are more than willing to pour cold water all over your ideas and discourage you from embarking on that exciting journey of self-discovery.  Never allow others to control the direction of your life because only you know what is best for you. Sometimes, in order to move on with the rest of your life you have to be prepared to say goodbye to certain people, old lifestyles and habits that no longer enhance or serve any purpose.  In fact, they are probably rapidly developing into a negative hindrance and no longer fit into your new routine.  There comes a day when you realise that turning the page is the best feeling in the universe because you begin to open up your mind and develop an awareness for new possibilities.  An amazing thing happens when you start being honest with yourself and start doing things that you love and spending time with people who make you feel happy.  You suddenly begin to feel energised and optimistic about your long term outlook because you have taken control of your own life.

Not taking responsibility may be less demanding, less painful and mean less time spent in the unknown.  It’s more comfortable and you can take it easy and always blame others in your life for your problems. However, there is always a price to pay because when you refuse to take personal responsibility for your life, you end up giving away your personal power, plus more.

By assuming responsibility for your decisions and actions, you are not trying to escape from your life anymore.  Instead, you take control, face what’s going on and so the world and new options open up for you.

Until Next Week,

Love and Light,

Linda and The Lulas xxxx
