Tigers Don’t Lose Sleep Over the Opinions of Others

To share your weakness is to make yourself vulnerable, and to make yourself vulnerable is to demonstrate your strength. When you find yourself constantly being disappointed by others, then it’s time to ask more from yourself.
Knowledge planted in truth expands the mind and your spiritual growth. Strength born of peace loses nothing to disregard nor regret.

It isn’t always the big troubles in life that require a show of character. Anybody can rise to a crisis and face a crushing tragedy or defeat with courage, but to meet the petty hazards of the day with a laugh and a positive attitude requires true grit and a tremendous amount of courage. It is much more valuable to look for the strength in others and learn from them than choose to run with the wrong crowd. You will gain nothing by criticizing other people’s imperfections because forever finding fault reveals your own failings. Inner strength, and having the courage and determination to keep going forwards isn’t about how much you can cope with before you break, it’s about how much you can handle after you discover that your life has been smashed into something unrecognisable with you staring at all the pieces on the ground wondering where it all went wrong.

During the course of your life, it’s important to learn that there are times when its necessary to experience difficult emotional, mental, physical and spiritual challenges in order for your life to be completely shaken up, re arranged, thus relocating you to the place you are meant to be, rarely to the place you expected to find yourself in.

Sometimes you have to get knocked right down to the lowest level possible in order to stand up again, taller than you were before. There is no point in praying for an easy life because realistically, there is no such thing, and if you do suddenly find yourself sailing on the crest of the wave, it won’t be long before you discover yourself falling back into the troughs and depths of despair yet again because nothing is guaranteed, and nothing stands still nor remains the same indefinitely. The wheel of life never stops turning. Instead, just pray to be granted enough strength, common sense and gumption to know what to do when the next tsunami wave comes along and destabilises you once more. When the going gets tough, the tough get going, so dig deeper and deeper each time and empower yourself by standing on your own two feet independently, demonstrating self-reliance, resilience and true strength of character.

Life’s trials will test, shape and frustrate you, but you must never let them break you because without struggle, success has no value. There is a strange comfort in knowing that no matter what happens next, the sun will rise and shine once again tomorrow, and where others may have given up on you, the most important things is that you never give up on yourself.

Exceptional people don’t shun tests of their strength, they continue to battle on regardless. Being faithful in the smallest things is the way to gain, maintain, and demonstrate the strength needed to accomplish great things.

‘When you don’t see the light,
Be the light,
Share the light
Be calm, yet assertive.
Be meek, yet courageous.
Be gentle, yet bold.
Be kind, yet strong.’

Love and light,
