Hello Readers,
Have you ever questioned your confidence levels, had the stuffing knocked out of you by the insensitive, yet deliberate comments made by people, or a certain person because their intention is to target your self esteem and make you feel as low as possible? These situations happen almost everywhere from close relatives and so called friends, lovers, work colleagues being guilty as hell getting a kick out of belittling someone to the point of making them feel a shrivelling wreck. These people make such cruel comments and behave extraordinarly badly because they are not only controlling and power crazy, the also want you to rely on them, asking them for their opinion and guidance in every instance and the advice you get will not always be to your advantage with your interests at heart.
For instance, I have witnessed people being corrected and picked up on their speech, when there was nothing at all wrong with it. Being told that their make up could be scraped off with a trowel and that since they switched hairdressers , their hair didnt shine any more and it was plainer and duller than previously, comments designed to destroy someone’s self worth. I have comforted people who were told by romantic partners that they had to lose weight, they were getting fat, losing their looks, didnt earn enough money and were told they were absolutely useless. These characters actually get pleasure from watching their victims fall into a heap shedding floods and floods of tears promising to change, to do better next time.
I am sure you must have heard such stories yourself or even been unfortunate to have been a victim of such cruelty.
Always be aware that there are people out there who try very hard to expose what is Wrong with you, pointing out your faults and failings, because they cannot handle what is Right with you and they are probably very jealous of you, which is another reason why they do it. In other words, their behaviour has got nothing at all to do with you, it simply illustrates what their character is truly like, what they are and what they are not. Never make the mistake of taking these people seriously. The best thing you can do is put a healthy distance between you and them and move forward with your life. If you believe their rubbish you will believe anything and life is too short to be unhappy.
Never change yourself to be what you think someone else wants you to be. If someone cannot accept you they way you are, they are not deserving of your friendship and love. Stay as lovely as you are and dont change a thing.
