FOREVER IS COMPOSED OF NOWS

HELLO READERS

If you love life, stop wasting so much time living in regret and fearful that you got so much wrong. There is a strange belief that affects so many people that life will truly begin and get better once a series of events take place, and so their whole existence is put on hold until their fantasies start materialising, but in most cases it’s doubtful that they will. They imagine that once they get a new job, car, come into money, move house or meet the love of their life that everything will miraculously fall into place and then they will live happily ever after. And so, they let numerous opportunities pass them by whilst they sit waiting for something or someone to come along and to save them and give them what they want.

Often, we fail to realise or understand that none of us have all the time in the world to do all the things we desire because life is fragile, and we are only here for as long as we are destined to be. We don’t know how much time we have remaining as life can be cruelly snatched away without any warning, so the best thing is to live each as though it’s our last because one day it will be. It’s important to try to enjoy and appreciate the here and now because tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone.

Nothing can change unless we are prepared to alter our attitude, outlook and how we think because the mind is very powerful. Our thoughts dictate our moods, actions and behaviour. We alone are responsible for ourselves and our choices, no one else, which is why must strive to be better today than we were yesterday on all levels. If we always do the same things, we can only expect to get the same results.

The purpose of life is to live it, to embrace experiences and flourish. Remember to be happy in the moment because that is all there is. The past is gone, and the future is yet to come. The primary cause of unhappiness and discontent is never our circumstances, but thoughts and opinions of them.
Always scanning the horizon, chasing people and things that are just out of reach convinces us that peace and fulfilment is just around the corner always attached to the next accomplishment or state of being. However, over time, this constant feeling of missing out begins to drown out the present and all its benefits. We stop noticing the things that are already working in our favour, forgetting to appreciate the ordinary, mundane moments that also have their place in our daily routine. Instead of being grounded and conscious that time cannot be rushed, we become restless, agitated and distracted even when everything seems to be going reasonably well. It’s a kind of emotional procrastination, the idea that the present is just a temporary waiting room for something bigger and better, and when it doesn’t arrive, they sulk. They follow the crowd, so the cost is high because they have lost their way in all the madness that accompanies such drama.

True personal freedom doesn’t come from finally arriving, it comes from learning how to accept and appreciate the present moment. Until you dismiss the idea that true happiness is elsewhere, anywhere, somewhere over the rainbow, you will never appreciate your true worth and potential to become who you might be. And when all else has failed and you are well and truly spent, you will wake up one morning realising that what you longed for all along may have been within reach after all.

The moment is not found by seeking it, but by ceasing to constantly be running away from it.
If you miss the present moment, you will also miss your appointment with life. Write it on your heart that every day is the best day yet, and one day you will be right.

‘Let everything happen to you,
Beauty and terror,
Just keep going,
No feeling is final’
