Hello Readers,

You may feel like escaping your old life, but looking back, perhaps your life was never that ordinary. People tend to conveniently have selective memories and paint a very different picture to the real truth of a situation. You may have failed to notice just how extraordinary your life really was, likewise there may be people and things that you never imagined you would miss so much. Although it’s sad, but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life has to start with a goodbye.

It’s not always possible to be happy, but you can be brave, and that is the beginning. Do the difficult things while they are easy and the great ones while they are small. Always try to pace yourself, after all, what is there to rush around for? You have more time now to think and reflect than ever before. Look at every new day as an opportunity to start over again rather than a curse because we can never buy time back again. When it’s gone, it’s gone and the clock keeps ticking away no matter what your mood or set of circumstances.

Behind bitterness and despair there will always be an element of sweetness and healing that is needed as we continue along our journey. Sensitivity should be treasured because we need to think about life and how our choices and behaviour affects both ourselves and other people. Beneath our tough exteriors we are all slightly afraid and fragile. What we really need is understanding and affection not constant criticism and demoralising treatment from those who sit in judgement without a clue as to what the real truth may be.

Life is tough enough without any more negativity being piled high upon it. Respect those who keep their hearts open when they are struggling with one of their most difficult times. Show compassion, empathy and offer kindness and friendship. A friend in need is a friend indeed. If you are living in the past, you may feel slightly depressed and if you worry too much about the future you will often give way to anxiety and fearfulness, so try to live in the present as much as possible.

The best decisions of all are arrived at from a calm disposition and a place of wisdom and knowledge.
