Hello Readers,
During the course of our lives, we sometimes have to face and deal with many serious problems and some of them are so severe and overwhelming that we often wonder if, how and when we will ever get over such terrible traumas and in what state we will find ourselves in once the drama is over. The stress of divorce, separation, illness, death, bereavement, grieving, all take their toll on our emotions and have an enormous impact and effect on our health and well-being. Pain can be like a storm that comes out of nowhere. The clearest and brightest Summer can end in a downpour, even thunder and lightning, but the secret is not to wait for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain and vow not to be beaten. Fine, sunny weather does not last forever because there is always another storm brewing somewhere or other, it’s the way the world works. Our lives can be likened to the weather because situations can change so quickly, without warning, without giving us a chance to prepare for the next onslaught. Snowstorms, hail storms, rainstorms, fire storms, sand storms, wind storms, some are fierce and others can be small, but still very disruptive depending on our circumstance at any given time. A love affair can be like a thunderstorm because of the passion, intensity and electricity that exists between two people whilst they are heavily involved with one another. Some people get involved in whirlwind romances, that’s what happens when you date a tornado!! You have to hold on tightly because you don’t know where you may end up, but certainly not where you started out. If you fall in love with a storm, did you really think you would come out unscathed? You have to deal with each event separately , but you also need to keep any eye on what’s brewing tomorrow.
Storms don’t last forever, but don’t let a small set back ruin your future. There is a beginning bit, a middle bit and an end bit to absolutely everything and it’s when we are looking at the darkest skies that we see the brightest stars shining, twinkling and sending us messages of hope, and confirmation of which people to keep in our lives and those to let go of.
When you come out of a storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in, that’s what a storm is all about, but it takes a real storm in the average person’s life to make him or her realise how much useless, unproductive and a complete waste of time and energy has been spent worrying about things during the milder squalls. The greatest storms on earth don’t take place outdoors, they take place in our minds. In the midst of a storm, our anchor is hope and whilst there is hope, there is always a chance that things will improve and resolve.
