Always shine like the bright star that you are and never allow others to undermine you. Remain true to yourself at all times and never change to please others, because they won’t appreciate your efforts and will not even consider changing themselves to please you.
During the course of your life, it’s inevitable that you are going to sometimes come across people who say all the right words at all the right times, but in the end, you should judge them by their actions not their words. When someone treats you like an option, help them narrow their choices by removing yourself from the equation. Save your breath, don’t even bother quarrelling with them or demanding explanations. It’s a complete waste of your time. See them for what they are and walk away. It’s that simple.
Never define yourself by your choices in life, relationships status, your income or your looks. It’s your generosity, kindness and compassion towards other that counts. As we sow, we shall reap. Its karma. What goes around, comes around. I am sure many of you have heard these sayings before.
Some people are going to reject you without evening giving you a proper explanation because you ‘shine too brightly’ for them, thus putting them in the shade and then jealousy kicks in. It’s always the same old story and I am sure it’s happened to you many times before. They cannot bear the fact that you are a much nicer and better person than they are and because they know only too well that deep down, inside, they are not as genuine and sincere as you are. No matter how hard they may try, they cannot compete with your popularity. It hurts them too much to see others in awe and admiration of you and see you as a threat. People can only give what they have , not what they have not. I have known people confess to me that they did not like the person they had turned into and when I have asked what they intended to do to change all that? The turned on their heel and walked in the opposite direction. Some people do not like the truth and even worse, they do not like their reflection in the mirror. If they don’t have kindness to give, they cannot give it. They can only give you what they have. Remember that, so never be disappointed or take their comments personally, because all they are doing is projecting their misery onto whoever they are speaking with.
None of us are answerable nor responsible for other people’s behaviour, attitude or happiness. We have to make all the right choices for ourselves at all times. You have nothing to prove to anyone. Always be yourself and the right friends will gravitate towards you automatically, naturally and effortlessly.
First and foremost, love and respect yourself, treat yourself well. Be kind to yourself because if you don’t, no one else will, so never make the mistake of talking yourself down nor neglecting yourself because you will not get any better thought of. Talk yourself up instead and learn to be your own best friend. The difference between who you and what you want to be is what you do and the choices that you make and we are all free to make choices and all those choices have subsequent consequences. Everything happens for a reason. There are no accidents nor coincidences in the universe. Everything is about perfect timing, so live each experience, learn from them and make your shining smile change the world, but never allow the world to change your smile and stay as lovely as you are.
