When you are different, it’s not always easy to see the millions of people who love, admire and accept you for the beautiful soul that you are. Do your own thing and don’t care if they like it or dislike it. Life is to short to waste time pondering on the thoughts of others. The fact that someone else neither loves or doesn’t you doesn’t mean that you should neglect yourself. If you don’t want yourself, then the world is full of darkness and endings.
Those who mistrust and doubt themselves do not make good leaders because leadership is built on inspiring others to face themselves and the challenges which lie before them. Life’s trials and hardships will test and shape you, but you must never let them destroy you. Without struggle, success has no value and no one ever said it would be easy. Anything worth having is worth fighting for.
Value yourself first and foremost because as you start to love and appreciate yourself, other people will begin to respect you more and treat you in the way you deserve. If they don’t, then that’s the time for you walk away. Don’t be tempted to sacrifice yourself too much. There is only so much you can give and whilst you are doing all the giving, they will be happy doing all the taking offering nothing of any worth in return. Never be tempted to lower your standards to please and accommodate others. Let them rise up to your level. It’s not your place to descend Dow to theirs.
Just knowing that you are on a journey of new life changing experiences can fill you with torrents of mixed emotions that are responsible for you doubting yourself and even talking yourself out of doing all the things that you often dream about. All the experiences and people that you encounter along your journey will teach you so much about yourself and exactly what you are capable of achieving. But first you have to learn how to love and believe in yourself.
The time has come for you to love yourself, forgive yourself and be true to yourself. You are your own problem and your own solution. In most instances, the only person standing in your way is yourself. Why are you trying so hard to fit in when you were born to stand out and shine like the beautiful star that you are? You will always be your own biggest critic. In the end the only person who can pull you down is yourself.
The person you will always be with the most is yourself. Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with pots of gold at both ends, and if you are happy alone, you can be happy anywhere.
