You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose and to do it courageously. Sometimes it takes great suffering to pierce the soul and open it up to greatness because anything worth having doesn’t come easily and there are always sacrifices that must be made. Never be afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, others have greatness thrust upon them whilst a few never realise it at all.
Great leaders can see the greatness in others when they can’t see it themselves, and lead those people to their highest potential, achieving goals and ambitions even they didn’t know were possible. Until you’re ready to look foolish, you’ll never have the possibility of being great. Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important and always keep away from those individuals who try to belittle your ambitions, hopes and dreams. They are energy drainers and emotional vampires. You just don’t need them in your life. Small minded people always do that because they limit themselves to restrictive thinking, always sitting in judgment but rarely listening. The enlightened can make you feel that you too can become anything you set your mind on becoming. If things are not going your way, never be tempted to blow off another’s candle for it won’t make yours shine brighter. Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds, it’s what’s made them stronger.
You’ve been trained to go after something in this world, to become someone great, to be somebody worth knowing. Yet it’s these demands and expectations of you that cause all the suffering as a result of being instilled with the belief that you have to be somebody that you’re not and that you have to have something that you don’t have. Take a closer look at your life and some of the so called problems you think you have. Something only becomes a problem when you want to change something, or want something to either go your way, or disappear completely. Only then does it automatically becomes a problem because it isn’t going the way you think it should go, but in truth, nothing has to go anyway. It just does its own thing.
Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance. Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else. Everything is perfect just the way it is and has to be the way it’s meant to be. If you persist in interfering with its flow, you risk spoiling the natural outcome. Those who have the ability to be grateful are the ones who have the ability to achieve greatness.
