People can be frugal or even territorial guarding their personal property, but as soon as it comes to squandering time, they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be economical to the point of being stingy. Time spent cannot be retrieved, recycled nor reclaimed . Procrastination is one of the greatest wastes of life because it snatches away each day as it comes and denies us the present by promising the future, but there are no answers nor guarantees of a tomorrow for anyone. We can only live in hope of another day. It’s not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a great deal of it without giving matters another thought. People tend to envelop themselves in various forms of fantasies and escapism, hoping either to postpone their responsibilities or avoid them altogether. When we procrastinate, we are neither completing the tasks that were assigned to us, nor are we spending our time productively. Most of the time some people are not present and correct, not with the programme, but living somewhere in their heads where they are physically not, and probably never will be.
Delay, denial, excuses and broken promises are all enemies to proper time management. Poor sleeping habits, unhealthy lifestyle choices, and just plain dissatisfaction with their lot are all by products of a poorly managed life. Organising your time can be extremely difficult because it’s a never-ending process of elimination and constantly refining what works for you and what does not. Choices and decisions suddenly go whirling around in your head. To do or not to do, that is the question, and in the meantime time, is evaporating into thin air together with everything else.
Even though time is of the essence, certain things just cannot be protected from storms because they simply need to be broken off, stopped in their tracks, and then this allows amazingly beautiful things to grow in their place. Over time you will have been assigned difficult life tests and challenges to demonstrate how you operate under numerous challenges and pressures. Let your life reflect the faith and self-belief you have within your soul to overcome adversity and rise above the darkness because eventually everything will pass, and new beginnings appear on the horizon. We are the masters of how we spend our time and it’s important to understand that life is very short and anxious for those who forget the past, neglect the present, and fear the future. Miracles are just second chances when all hope is lost. It’s time to reclaim your life, one breath at a time.
