One of the most important things you can do in life is to let people know they are not completely alone. Bless souls while they can still be reached because so many silently slip away into oblivion. Never underestimate the lingering effects of a dash of spontaneous love and comfort because you may be the last person they see again. It’s a waste of time and energy dwelling on your losses, instead, look forward to the future with bright new hopes and a song in your heart.
Cruel people offer pity when they no longer feel threatened, whereas kind people offer compassion, empathy and understanding. What goes around will come around. What you sow you shall reap, karma is never far away. so always work towards yielding a good harvest. As you make your bed, you will lie on it. The wheel of life softly turns stopping for no one. You can’t turn the clock back and neither can you buy more time. When you reach for the stars, you are reaching for the farthest thing out there. When you delve down deeply into yourself, it is the same thing, but in the opposite direction. If you reach out in both directions, you will have spanned the universe. Any star things think it’s out of reach until it falls, and whilst it may out of reach it’s probably only a few steps away. Never even consider giving up, just keep going forwards.
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. There is the isolation and solitude of suffering when you go through darkness that is lonely, intense, and frightening. Words become powerless to express your pain, and what others hear from your words is so distant and remote from what you are actually experiencing that they perhaps fail to understand your plight. Everyone experiences at least one bad betrayal in their lifetime. The secret is not to let it completely destroy your trust in others because not all people are the same. Don’t let the bad and toxic ones destroy you. Stand strong, stoic and proud. Let your silence be your greatest and most powerful weapon. Our suffering has been our greatest teacher, and it demonstrates the true meaning of love, compassion and kindness. Out of great struggles and sacrifices have emerged the strongest and most able of souls.
Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and in turn, you are the slave to your own emotions. What can break your heart is sometimes the very thing that can also heal it. Sometimes when we are too close to a situation, we cannot see the wood for the trees. Our judgement becomes impaired because we are too close to view a situation objectively and with any proper clarity. You are only stuck in one particular position because you are allowing fear of the unknown to play havoc with your imagination, which then stops you from thinking and acting logically. We only learn anything important by living it. Time is great healer whilst experience is a constant teacher. A person may live a whole life, but if they never leave their home to experience and explore, eventually they will perish knowing nothing of the world that surrounds them. A mere child who has suffered and lived can be the wiser than someone older who has never experienced anything of value which has taught them truth. There is an ancient Indian tribal proverb. It says, ‘that before we can see properly, we must first shed our tears to clear the way’.
Happiness is but an occasional episode in a lifetime drama of pain, struggle and sadness. Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone’s hand is the beginning of a beautiful spiritual journey. At other times, it is allowing another soul to take yours hand offering love, friendship and comfort.
Out Of Reach
