Spring adds new life and joy to so many things. Let everything you do be done in love because Easter represents a second chance. The great gift of Easter is hope, redemption and resurrection.
Faith makes all things possible, so always believe and know that the greatest power in the universe walks by your side. Love makes all things easy, so let your light shine before lifting their spirits from out of the darkness in which they are lost and struggling. It doesn’t matter how difficult or heartbreaking your circumstances may be, do not abandon yourself.
First there is the darkness and then the beginning of a new dawn. Sacrifices must be made if you are to grow and evolve, otherwise you will remain in the place where you are. A part of you must die inside in order to rise from your own ashes like a phoenix.
All that you do for yourself will be gone when you are gone, but the good deeds you do for others remain as your legacy. The Easter message tells us that we can always begin again. Life is the march of all things broken and in the process of being resurrected. Behind all life is the irrepressible theme of birth, death and rebirth. Life is not so shallow, weak or inattentive as to permit the finality of an end because one day we shall all meet again in everlasting eternity.
The world these days is unsafe and filled with peril and uncertainty where there are many dark places and forces threatening our existence. But look closer because there is still much that is fair and good, enough to want to live for. The light will always overpower the darkness just as love will overcome evil. Although love is often entwined with loss, grief and pain, the sadness won’t last forever as the wheel of fortune always turns towards our healing.
Forgiveness is an act of the will and can function regardless of the temperature of the heart. The weak can never forgive because they are still too angry and don’t want to listen nor understand. Allow your courage and strength of character to shine every time someone attempts to belittle, berate, intimidate or harm you. They will never win because they can never completely break you as much as they might try. To survive, must learn the art of self-care, and to find yourself, you first have to walk alone on your journey of self-discovery.
The greatest jail break in all of history occurred on Easter morning, so just remember that whatever your personal prison and internal suffering may be, however impenetrable the walls around you may sometimes feel or appear, your jail break is just a prayer away. Carry hope in your heart and never lose your faith. The holy trinity always walks silently beside you, loving, caring and offering guidance during your hours of need.
‘Nightfall on Easter Saturday,
A church in darkness,
Flickering fire through stained glass,
Hope so close yet out of reach.
The Paschal candle is lit outside from a small garden bonfire,
And, in reverent procession, brought indoors,
The flaming beacon makes its entrance at the rear of the congregation,
The mother candle bows, bestowing blazing brows on the humbler candles of those assembled.
The welcoming brightness gently spreads among the pews,
Confusing darkness now a sea of light,
United in illumination,
And He is there’.
‘I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die’.
We proclaim the resurrection of Christ when his light illuminates the dark moments of our existence
