THERE IS A SENSE OF FREEDOM IN YOUR HEART THAT WANTS TO ESCAPE

HELLO READERS

Inner peace of and tranquillity arrives when we accept what is. Not everything will be to our liking, so we must learn to compromise, forgive and make allowances. Adjusting to change takes time and healing cannot be rushed. Nature will do everything in its own way and time.

Having been born into this strange life with even stranger people, we must be honest about how much time and opportunities we have wasted and make amends. Nothing lasts forever. There are no guarantees. Everything can change without prior warning leaving us perplexed and wondering why? Our heart has almost stopped beating, yet life goes on as we stand there in the fray of all the hustle and bustle unnoticed. We fade into the background watching the world go by. Time waits for no one.

You didn’t deserve to get hurt, and in a perfect world this would never happen, but you did and must now get on with it. We live in a sphere that views relationships like drive thu’s and fast-food chains. They will try to treat your heart like a special offer on a cheap menu. When they have had enough, quickly move onto the next conquest and so forth. Always looking for the next big adventure. Always remember your worth and never again allow anyone to undermine your value. Never shrink to accommodate other people’s shortcomings and inadequacies. Do not become small for those who refuse to grow. If you let them, they will make dents in your soul leaving you to live with the residual wreckage forever. It is better to be alone than to live with the dross of society.

We all require periods of splendid isolation and silence to reflect, recharge and recover. The people who struggle to understand this are the ones who need it the most. Everyone deserves a chance to start over again. Life is full of grandiose romanticism. Our birthdays are reminders that we have survived another year with its wars, inflation, unemployment, climate change and toxic political rhetoric. Almost everybody is born a genius, but somewhere along the way, life happens and opportunities are lost. There is no going back, only forwards.

In any culture, good taste and common sense are not so much what you see and do, but more about what is hiding behind the facades. Everything has its own grey areas. What is outside of us is nowhere nearly as important as what is within us. Act upon your instincts because they will never fail to guide you correctly.
We will all experience loss, disappointment, illness, aging, and aloneness during our lifetime. We encounter stress, anxiety, and fear because certain things and circumstances are unavoidable. We suffer from the slings and arrows of everyday life, and yet, we continue to cling onto the idea that happiness is found in superficiality and in the avoidance of pain. We live in denial by numbing ourselves with external distractions, but eventually we must face reality. It’s a viscous circle which we must learn to master and overcome.

Happiness is not found in the absence of pain and sorrow, but in the willingness to face up to and accept our responsibilities. When you can go one full day and breathe freely only then will you know that you are regaining your strength. A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.

An ounce of practice is worth more than a ton of preaching. Actions always speak louder than words.

‘You may wound me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.’
