Hello Readers
It’s always interesting how realisation and growth can help you to let go of the people you once swore you could never live without. They say it’s easier when you can see betrayal coming, but the impact is the same whether your eyes are open or closed. Once trust is broken, nothing can ever be the same again. There will come a time when you will feel thankful that the swirling fog of chaos left your life once and for all. It’s doubtful that you will miss any of it. What is done is done.
Peace does not come easily, usually at a price. First you must excuse yourself from a table where chaos reigns and words of damnation are uttered because there is no place for you there. Realise that your darkness and pain is temporary, and that nothing lasts forever, just like the people who inflicted some of the deepest wounds. Sometimes you may try to hide your suffering from the one person who can read your eyes and look into your soul. You hope that they cannot detect your pain, but they probably can because they understand. You want to forget but your heart and mind won’t let you, just as in the same way you want to talk
about everything that has happened, but you cannot find the right words. There are some things that are best left unsaid, but there are also those things you want to remember when you suddenly realise that there is a mental block that won’t permit you revisit the past without feeling deeply saddened and distressed. You just have to let the moments pass, learn how to breathe, accept the truth, seek help and move forwards otherwise you risk becoming stuck in an eternal time warp, a place where life appears to be standing still and where nothing grows nor nothing heals.
It is during some of your darkest moments when you might feel that the time is right to begin writing your story. You have walked alone for such a long time, deeply shocked at how much you have had to fight and battle just to survive. Your smile and understanding of what it means to tread the dark path will set an example to those who must make that journey. If someone is struggling, lost or afraid, take their hand and lead them to a place where there is peace, calm, safety and sanctuary.
You are not a helpless victim, but master of your own thoughts and subsequent actions. Perhaps you decided a long time ago not to concern yourself with the melodramas of others. Instead, listen to the sounds of your soul whilst it is guarding, warning and protecting you from toxicity and all the dangers that scuttle around in the shadows, almost invisible, yet hiding in the wings.
True strength is yielded by embracing hurt. Find the strength and courage to live through the hardest times whilst you gently spread the word of love, and when you look at your reflection in a mirror, that you are proud of the person you have become. Somewhere there is a place where you belong, but the picture doesn’t unfold all at once. Each step forwards inspires something new within you to keep on trying until you find yourself and your life purpose. Trust in the universe and have faith in what is clouded and unseen.
‘Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.’
Love and light,
