Hello Readers,
Living a life of regret causes untold unhappiness and is none productive. No friendship or relationship is a complete waste of time. OK, so things didn’t work out and you are hurt and upset because you didn’t get what you wanted out of it. But then look at the positive side because at least you discovered exactly what you didn’t want to happen to you again in the future. It’s important to choose your friends and partners wisely. Just take a good, long hard look at the company they keep the people they are impressed with and attempt to copy and their lifestyle because all this information speaks volumes.
If you are in any doubt about a situation you find yourself in and feel at a loss as to how to handle it or what to do? Just take a long step back and examine the people or person in it other than yourself because it’s now that its vitally important that you ‘wake up and smell the flowers’, so to speak. If you are able to do this, suddenly the picture will become clearer and you will see the wood for the trees, whereas before you were probably fueled by emotion and confusion. Often people want what they cannot have and if they had it, they would not want it. It’s so easy to become envious of peer groups, friends and neighbours, especially if they enjoy bragging about how big their house is, how fancy their car is and what expensive holidays they go on and so forth, the list is endless, but I am sure you will have come across this scenario many times. The braggers think they are clever, strutting about, full of their own self-importance, when really their lives behind the masks they wear are empty and unfulfilled. What they are doing is trying to convince themselves that they are better than anyone else, so don’t take their comments personally, otherwise you will get into a spin and end up feeling totally inadequate, when really the opposite is true. I have witnessed these situations many times and am never impressed by this poor behaviour. Remember, it is not you who has the problem, it is them.
There is a very true saying. ‘The best things in life are free’ and how true this is. No amount of fancy toys and trinkets can make up for good health, a warm and loving family, caring friends who are there for you when love, encouragement and support are needed, the feeling of liberation and freedom and so much more. The list can be as long or as short as you want it to be. But some things are not for sale and cannot be bought.
Money cannot buy happiness. It can buy opportunities, false friends, a false sense of security, comfort and trinkets, but it cannot buy happiness, peace of mind, wisdom and truth. So you see, all that glitters is not always gold.
