Friendships Sometimes Change

Hello Readers,

People change and often they become the person they said they would never be.  Sometimes that’s good and sometimes it isn’t. Things change, friends leave for all kinds of reasons and life doesn’t stop for anybody.  Sometimes the person they turn into is the person they would dislike intensely and want to fight and support the person they love dearly, yet have not got it in them to do so.

Chemistry is a strange and powerful thing.  Sometimes we can meet someone and make an instant positive or negative connection.  We immediately establish a rapport with them.    We can instantly know that this person is going to play a major role in our lives and we in theirs.  Sometimes we know that this introduction is a bad thing but feel helpless to stop the association from developing further.  The power of magnetism is often so great that no matter how bad we know someone is for us, we still go back for more bad treatment in the belief that one day things will change for the better, but in truth, they rarely do, in fact, never.

 
How many people do you know who have holidayed with their ‘best friends’ and what started as a jolly good idea ended up a complete nightmare?  Just take a look at how many ‘friends’ entered into a business partnership that later developed into a ‘sinking ship’.

Good friends are hard to find and it’s important to respect, cherish and value a genuine friendship. A lot of people are unable to distinguish between an acquaintance and a friendship.  They take people at face value believing that everyone is trustworthy and a kind an honest person, when in truth, not everyone is.  Words are cheap, actions speak louder.  Anyone can make lots of false promises and tell you how much you mean to them and how much they love you, but at the end of the day, it’s their actions that you must be guided by, not their words.  If we believe people can change for the best, they can also change and be the worst person ever.

Friendship is not something you learn in school, but if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you haven’t learnt anything.  The only way to have a friend is to be a friend.  Friends show love, affection and support in times of trouble, not in times of happiness.

 Never ignore a person who misses you, cares for you and is always there for you because one day you might wake up and realise you lost the moon whilst counting the stars.

Best friends are people who make your problems their problems, so that you don’t have to go through them alone.
