Hello Readers,
We are always turning new leaves, new pages, starting new chapters and then spoiling them. Accomplishments don’t erase the past or the shame that often goes with them. We work hard at trying to cover up our mistakes, errors of judgment and poor behaviour. We tussle with sleepless nights fighting our conscience. Once words are said there is no going back. Only restitution, forgiving yourself and others, compassion, empathy, repentance and living with quiet dignity will enabling you to move forwards. We cannot change the past, but we can try to create another future.
Whatever happens today, always remember that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t letting go, but learning to start over again. Start where you are, work with what you have and if you fail, keep trying because there are ways and means around every situation. You just have to look for them and there are no blinder people than those who don’t want to see.
We are constantly adjusting our stature and position, accommodating others, feeling our way around things, constantly trying to work out which direction to go in next. Inevitably, sooner or later comes a change. It can be something so small, so big, or everything happening all at once that pressures and forces us to muster up enough strength and courage to start over again. Seedlings of life sometimes come out of the graves and tombs of the past. It’s amazing just how much new life and opportunities can come out of destruction and near extinction.
When your world is completely flattened you have little choice but to start from ground zero and go upwards. As long as you are still alive, you will always have the chance to start again. You are never too old to give life and yourself another chance, but most importantly, you have to want to.
The future lies ahead, calling out to us, always offering us new chances to do things another way and start over again and again. The possibilities are endless. All you have to do is dare take them. Some doors close whilst others open. Some remain tightly shut displaying warnings and forbidden signs.
Never feel guilty for starting again. Life is just a passage of time and it’s up to you to pass it as you please.
Regrets and mistakes are not to be dwelled on because they help us identify areas of growth. Do lot let them undermine your true potential. Though you may not have reached the dramatic heights anticipated yesterday, today is a brand new day to start your ascent up that steep mountain of life up into the clouds. It will be scary, but you will soon see what you are made of and make the best of every opportunity to achieve what once seemed impossible.
