There are shadows that go in front of you, leading you towards the future whilst others trail behind, leaving a part of you in the past. They are clearest when we are in the light and disappear when we lose ourselves in the darkness. Sometimes you just need to be alone when no one knows you are home. Perhaps you prefer your own company, keeping yourself to yourself, and all because you haven’t been very impressed lately by certain people or places. It’s important for your inner self and wellbeing to seek your satisfactions in whatever surroundings you happen to find yourself and content yourself with things as they are. And so, when darkness causes you no more discontent, you can then begin to enjoy the peace and calm it brings. If light is scarce, then it is for a reason. We must learn to immerse ourselves in the stillness and quiet for a while, and there observe its own particular beauty. But for some people there is no peace as their quest for brighter lights never ceases. They spare no pains to eradicate even the minutest shadows because they are scared and afraid of facing themselves. Perhaps they don’t like their own reflection. Feeling at peace and remaining in a private space is not always easy, depending on your temperament. The roses love the sun, but that they also love the dark, where their roots can grow through the lightless mystery of the Earth’s energies. Rarely is anything straightforward or easy to understand.
If only people knew how much more preferable it is to sit behind the scenes, in the background, knowledgeable and capable, but definitely not in the spotlight, out of the glare of prying, inquisitive eyes. If only they realised just how much more they could see and hear if they remained out of sight, yet quietly waiting in the wings. If you are ever in any doubt about anything or anyone, wisely remain in the background, several degrees of separation removed, and you will be amazed at what you will see or hear. Some people may barely know you even exist because they haven’t noticed you standing there, quiet, serene and controlled. They haven’t a clue what you are thinking or what you are about as a person, but from your vantage, you can see and hear everything thus arriving at your own conclusions whilst they are still wrestling with themselves.
Always try to see behind what you see in front of you because all you need to see will be hidden behind of the thing you see. The real truth is rarely on display. Never weep over anything because whatever you lose comes around in another form. Everything takes time, so you just have to be patient. The only veil that stands between perception of what is underneath the desolate surface of everyday life is your courage to keep on believing in yourself and trusting your gut instincts always, otherwise you risk losing focus and direction. Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places and the best secrets are always the most twisted, strangely unbelievable, yet true.
